Hubei Province is located at the middle reaches of the Yangtze River in Central China, called “E” for short. Due to its position to the north of the Dongting Lake, it is known as Hubei.
It was under the jurisdiction of Chu State in ancient times. In 1776, the sixth year of Emperor Kangxi's reign in the Qing Dynasty, Huguang Zuosi was turned into Hubei that has been used until nwo.
With abundant tourism resources, Hubei Province enjoys not only beautiful scenery but also famous cultural relics and historic sites. Crisscross rivers and numerous lakes form its unique scenery of “watery region”, so it is praised as “the province with 1,000 lakes”.
